About us
The Thrifty Farmer is not expert advice in anyway, very much what happens here is a great deal of trial and error, and what works for me, might not work for others. That being said, I will post things that are known practices in the realm of gardening and farming life. I am still learning and would like to take my readers on this journey with me, as I find clever and inexpensive ways to get things going. I will post not only what did work for me, but potentially what didn't work, simply because even though something might not have worked for me, doesn't mean it won't work for someone else.
I will show you things that we've used on the farm, that we've had access to, not for you to think that you need to go and find these things yourselves, but to help give you ideas to think outside the box; what you physically see could actually be used in a way you might not think.
I've enjoyed my journey so far, seeing the ideas that come to mind suddenly become real, and watching my efforts grow and stretch. There is still a lot of work to be done, and a lot of cleaning up to do, but I know in the end, my labors will be well worth all the effort I've put in.
